Writer, Producer, Director, Performer/Facilitator
Marina is a writer, producer and event maker who is passionate about telling stories and creating shared experiences. She loves writing for and working with young audiences and has produced children’s theatre for the Adelaide Fringe Festival. She has a Bachelor of Arts from Adelaide University and studied Professional Writing at the Adelaide College of the Arts where she received an Arts Excellence Award upon graduation. Marina is also a freelance writer, producing articles for travel, happiness blogs and lifestyle articles as well as writing short stories, film scripts, novels, speeches and web copy. She currently works in communications.
Composer, Singer, Performer/Facilitator
Lizzie is an Australian music producer, jazz singer, songwriter and recording artist. She has performed at festivals from Glastonbury UK to WOMAD Australia. With a passion for musical diversity, Lizzie regularly collaborates with other artists – from her world music outfit Lillie White to local band Zeequil and London rapper, Reason. Lizzie has played with some of London’s most reputable jazz musicians and sung at venues around the world from London’s Savoy Hotel to the Royal Festival Hall and Sydney’s Hilton. She is currently working on a solo release while also delving into collaborations and compositions for theatre and dance productions.
Storyteller, Educator, Performer/Facilitator
A graduate from Emerson College’s International School of Storytelling, Helen has been working as a storyteller since 2004. An exponent of small theatre, she usually travels to performances on foot with all her special effects, musical instruments and props carried in her backpack. There is always room for a cheese sandwich too. Storytelling has led to work for the Australian Centre for Social Innovation, the Art Gallery of South Australia, and the Ballarat Writers’ Festival. Currently, as well as working in a freelance capacity, Helen devises and delivers narrative driven experiences for adults and children for the National Trust of South Australia.
Todd studied Media and Production Skills (MAPS) at Hamilton Senior Campus where he specialised in pre and post-production techniques across film, radio, TV and video. He directed a film clip which aired on ABC’s Rage and Channel V as well as being screened at the Young Film Makers’ Festival and nominated for ‘Best Editing’. Todd has participated in Adelaide Fringe Festivals as a Technical Producer, looking after multimedia aspects of productions including digital vision and sound. Todd is currently the Technical Support Officer for the Department of Screen and Media at Flinders University where he continues to hone his production skills.
Kelly has enjoyed a wide variety of experiences as a performer. She was
part of a flamenco dance troupe for a number of years with performances
at tapas bars as well as the annual Spanish festival and has participated in community theatre productions including Junction Theatre’s Hello Down There at the Adelaide Festival Centre. In 2015 she played dual roles in a children’s theatre production at the Adelaide Fringe Festival titled Peppina vs Mrs Kafoops. Kelly is a ukulele enthusiast and has played at a number of events from festivals to ukulele flash mobs and parades.
Kaurna Welcome to Country, Performer
Nikki performed the Welcome to Country for the inaugural season of Return to the Village which was held at the Adelaide Botanic Gardens, on Kaurna land.
Nikki is a Director, Actor and Choreographer and an Independent Producer of First Nations Theatre.
